Original title: Shocking video from Great Britain (video)! COV-19 is written on the motherboard for 5G antennas! It is no coincidence that virologists say that the virus spreads through the air …

On May 19, 2020, a text was published on the portal horoskop-krajnicki.mk entitled “Shocking video from Great Britain. COV-19 is written on the motherboard for 5G antennas … It is no coincidence that virologists say that the virus is spread through the air …. As a source, the author uses a text from the Serbian portal webtribune.rs, and he continues that he is not surprised at all, because he has previously said that the 5G network contributes to the spread of coronavirus. The text lists several misinformation about the 5G network, which the F2N2 team has written about, on several occasions.

The video, which was posted on the YouTube channel on May 15, become viral and was widely shared through networks around the world and in the region.  In our country it ended up in a packaged text from the above portal.

The widely shared video shows a man allegedly installing a COV-19 motherboard on a 5G base station. The video is another example of the already present conspiracy theory that COVID-19 coronavirus disease is caused by 5G network.

FACT/S

There is no motherboard for 5G antennas marked COV-19.

The American fact-checking website, Snopes.com, describes this video as inaccurate.

In one part of the video the picture of the device is visible with the name of the company “Hannstar” which is actually the manufacturer of that device.Furthermore, the company HannStar does not produce 5G equipment. Hannstar is a Taiwanese-based company that makes television parts and computer monitors. The piece of equipment shown in the video is very old and comes from an old TV box, and the word COV-19 was never written on any part of the device.

This information for Reuters was confirmed by the spokesman of “Virgin Media”, a British cable television company. At the same time, the company confirmed that the piece of equipment shown in the video has nothing to do with the 5G network or any other mobile network.

In addition to the fact that the word “Hannstar” is visible on this device, as well as the confirmation of the spokesman of “Virgin Media” that it is an old device from TV box that never actually contained the word COV-19, on the recorded video also connectors can be seen which are used for television, and not for mobile technology. Thus, it is the SCART 21-pin connector for connecting pieces of audio-visual equipment.

It is clear that the video does not show a motherboard embedded in 5G base stations, but a piece of equipment on an old television set that apparently had someone that added the word COV-19 in an attempt to present “evidence” for the conspiracy theory that the coronavirus is spreading from 5G base stations.

Our team has already written about a similar topic, “mysterious” appearance of the COV-19 mark.

While authorities are battling a coronavirus pandemic, F2N2 is fighting fake news and disinformation.
