About us
Project Fighting False News Narratives - (FN) is an independent project of the Citizens Association MOST, launched in November 2018. The project is designed to fight in a systematic way the malign influence from the authoritarian regimes, Russian propaganda and disinformation in the online media space in North Macedonia, through utilization of various digital tools and open software (OSINT).
Our team strives towards renewing the trust among the citizenry in democracy and democratic values through documenting and revealing the strategic disinformation narratives implemented following the Kremlin playbook. We implement monitoring, research and provide the public with reports and expert opinions, analysis and recommendations. Furthermore, we analyze data on the channels of dissemination and amplification of malign propaganda and disinformation coming from the authoritarian regimes.
Our primary focus is systematic monitoring of the development of disinformation narratives (domestic and foreign), that emerge around the main events related to the country's Euro-Atlantic integration. Additionally, the current/on-going disinformation narratives related with the contemporary events are subject of our interest.
Through cohesive society that shares the values of democracy and credible information based on facts, we strive toward free, safe and prosperous North Macedonia, completely integrated into EU and NATO.
