Original title: THE EDITOR OF INFOMAX IS DETAINED: TWO CRIMINAL CHARGES WERE SUBMITTED
On July 24, 2019, the portal 365, through sharing of an article by Infomax, released a sensational title, disinforming that the editor of Infomax was detained. The article by Infomax was also published by the portal Leader, but without the disinforming title. Namely, in the title of Infomax it is clearly stated that it is an informative conversation and not a detention.

The title of this news is speculation. The Infomax editor was not detained. He is called for an informative conversation and more importantly, he is invited for a conversation and not detained, as the title implies. Secondly, through the title, the portal misleads and speaks in present time, while the real story is something that happened a few months ago.
Police officers and journalists have the same purpose that is to protect the public interest. Journalists must obey the legal regulations when they investigate and report. They should not mislead the public towards wrong conclusions, which they have no evidence for.
Sensationalism is detrimental both to the journalistic work and to the work of the police. For these reasons, every research story must be carefully prepared, in accordance with the professional journalistic standards and principles, and be backed up with solid evidence.
Police officers should respect the protocol for dealing with journalists when they carry out their task.
Journalists’ security is the key to the existence of strong, independent and professional media. It is equally important as professional journalism, in accordance with the standards and principles for professional reporting.
Therefore, this and similar texts and titles have one single purpose, and that is to mislead the public that journalists are being arrested and detained, something that is typical of different times.
The public must not be misled to wrong conclusions, especially through certain information from several months ago that have been put into use now, in order to cause division and rage among the readers.
