Original title:”The Prime Minister of Malta told Rashkovski: If you think that the Maltese are fraudsters, then come and see it for yourself”
The portal Kurir published an article with the headline presented above in which they wrote that the scandal with the footage of the General Secretary of the Government, Rashkovski, which appeared in the public, became a hot topic in Malta, and the media there began to mock the Macedonian Government. Namely, the Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, at a press conference, defied Rashkovski’s accusations that the Maltese people are thieves and robbers and invited Rashkovski to rent a house to Gozo if he wants to see what fraudsters really are, because they are innocent lambs compared to the inhabitants on the island of Gozo. The Kurir Portal publishes this text by referring to the Maltese website http://bis-serjeta.com.
Here you can find other portals that transmitted this news.
The portal Kurir created their article based on the Maltese site’s articles, without checking the information written in the articles of the website http://bis-serjeta.com. Namely, the site refers to a statement by the Prime Minister of Malta, Joseph Muscat, given at a press conference. This information is completely inaccurate and it can be checked on the official website of the Government of Malta, that there is no press conference, nor a statement by the Prime Minister to the public, which should certainly be available to the media.
Even more unprofessional and unethical is that the portal transmits the information from a portal whose owner and editor is Karl Stennienibarra, who tells himself that he is “the most serious” journalist in the “satirical” island of Malta, and his portal is Malta’s “the most serious” portal.
Being aware, or not, of the fact that it is transmitting a satirical text, the portal Kurir conveys the disinformation to our public in a serious form, thus manipulating the public.
The purpose of the disinformation of the “alleged reaction” of Malta’s Prime Minister is to show the public that the relations between the two governments are violated, which is absolutely false.
The disinformation as such is transmitted by other portals, without any one of them investigating the reliability of the information that is shared, or to check it on the website in question.
