Original title: Corona revives hellish conspiracy theory, the virus is the perfect means for achieving the main goal, the Agenda 21
The portal reporter.mk disseminated an article in which several recycled conspiracy theories were united.
The text of the article says that the coronavirus allegedly revived one of the most terrible conspiracy theories, “Agenda 21”, which should be carried out by world governments. The release of the virus is the perfect way to achieve this goal, conspiracy theorists say.
Agenda 21 actually aims to reduce the world’s population by a totalitarian world center.
The United States, as well as a number of governments around the world, are part of the organization. Agenda 21 is the reason for the unprecedented rise in stock and the popularity of conspiracy theories.
It has also been linked to vaccination, Soros, Bill Gates and the 5G network, in an orderly blend of paranoid fantasies. The portal cites the Serbian portal Kurir.rs as source of this article.
This content was also published on the portals Mexpress.mk and Popara.mk.The link to the original article can be found here.
The published text is disinformation, which is complemented by elements of conspiracy theories.
The article, which incorporated several conspiracy theories, said: “This conspiracy has been going on since 1992, and in fact envisions a New World Order, which is supposed to be established by the disreputable global operators.”
Part of Agenda 21 also refers to the initial plan of the United Nations, which should be held in 2021, but it has been moved to 2030, the conspirators claim. Until then, the world should have a world government that will rule all nations.
What is actually Agenda 21 used as the main tool in this misinformation
Agenda 21 has been a non-binding UN declaration since 1992. It is a vision for sustainable development in which 178 member states have agreed on common priorities:
Poverty
Diseases
Environment protection
These priorities cannot be combined with global dictatorship, but conspiracy theorists manage to make a connection. A manipulative one.
The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization, and all member states participate in its work. Their goal is to maintain international peace and security, protect human rights, deliver humanitarian aid, promote sustainable development and protection, promote and support international law.
That is the manipulative goal that conspiracy theorists are trying to impose. In the UN’s sustainable development agenda until 2030, there is absolutely nothing related to this “misleading interpretation”. The document, which is abused in manipulative narratives, contains 17 goals, including: eliminating poverty and hunger, improving the health system, quality education, gender equality, access to clean water and sanitation, peace, tackling the climate crisis, justice, powerful institutions and others that you can see in detail here.
The text shares the video of David Ike, the man who is known for spreading conspiracy theories, of which F2N2 has already written about.
The article states that the coronavirus is part of a conspiracy, perhaps by the Chinese government, other global actors, and even George Soros. We have already analyzed the theory that goes through this narrative.
The article also includes a video of Soros, who is regularly used in these narratives, whenever the impact of some misinformation needs to be intensified.
The UN agenda is to improve the quality of all the world’s inhabitants. The UN is an international organization established to maintain peace and foster international cooperation. As such, the UN has no executive power to force states to act. This means that the theory of conspiracy theorists, which is also included in this article, that the UN can cause global slavery by abolishing national sovereignty, religious sentiment and personal dignity is incorrect.
Recommendations for achieving the goals set out in Agenda21 are included in the Addis Ababa Action Agenda document adopted at the Third International Conference on Financing and Development held in Ethiopia in 2015.
It is true that the UN HAS NO PURPOSE of ruling globally in order to subjugate others. The UN HAS NO authority to “dictate” governments of the states that are its members about what policies to pursue, nor do they have the mechanisms to force them to do so. The UN is not an institution that can impose itself on the national interests of its member states. In this regard, the coronavirus is not part of any scenario of the UN’s Agenda 21.
The F2N2 team assesses the article as misinformation, which recycles conspiracy theories against vaccination, Soros, Bill Gates and the 5G network in one place. Their goal is to convince the readership that the coronavirus is the product of a specific scenario on the UN’s Agenda 21.
The portal, although citing a source from which it took the article and says in the headline that it is a conspiracy theory, did not go into detailed disclosure of the truth and rejection of this theory and thus only “strengthens” it. In this way, it is misleading readers with the very title that the virus is allegedly the perfect means of achieving the main goal of Agenda 21, and even in the content of the text, no clear distinction can be made between conspiracy theory and truth.
