On the social network Facebook, a special welcoming event for the Russians Vovan & Lexus was created. According to the organizers, the event was created on the occasion of August 2, 2019 on Macedonia Square, starting at 8 pm.
The F2N2 team, while investigating the event, discovered that it was shared by the Facebook group a Daily Dose Political Circus that was created on March 22, 2018.
The organizers of this event have created several events so far in order to humiliate and mock certain individuals by indirectly calling for their public lynching. They created three events in which Tamara was in focus, after the event of her singing on the Independence Day at the US Embassy.
Hate speech is often seen as a communication trend that is present on the social networks. This term includes any form of expression that spreads, instigates, promotes or justifies some kind of intolerance which includes forms of aggression and hostility. A target of hatred can be a group or a person to whom the derogatory and offensive words are spoken to, in order to be publicly discredited, as is the case with Tamara.
The Internet, especially the social networks, has become a new battlefield to intercept and spread hate speech.
The Law on Prevention and Protection against Discrimination prohibits harassment and degrading that violates the dignity of a person or a group and may arise on a discriminatory basis, the purpose of which is to violate the dignity of a particular person or create a disadvantageous environment or practice, causing or calling for discrimination.
Hate speech that is very present on social networks has a harmful impact on the whole society and the quality of the community, causing it to victimize attackers, but at the same time makes other members angry, suspicious, and sometimes intimidated and wary.
We have already written about hate speech on several occasions in our educational series.
