However, if we take into account the dynamics and scope of the publications, then we can conclude that this is a disinformation campaign in which the central element is a conspiracy theory, which is far from any logical and reasonable perspective. Through private Facebook messages, a video with a conspiracy theory that Bill Gates, George Soros and others are plotting to reduce the number of people on the planet, and that they are leading people to vaccination, while they are not vaccinating their own children, is spreading rapidly. Another text, which has a similar narrative, calls for a boycott of vaccinations for allegedly injecting Nanochips into vaccines and igniting 5G antennas because they are designed to control people who will receive signals through Nanochips and who can kill you with one “click”.

Individuals, groups and the media in our country and in the region have recently been searching for news that would stigmatize Bill Gates and his efforts to vaccinate the population to prevent a number of diseases from spreading around the world. Such news is becoming more and more common at a time when the world is facing a pandemic of coronavirus. In fact, not only is there a lack of evidence to support these conspiracy theories, but there is growing evidence against them.

History has shown that fear and wrong priorities are what actually make us vulnerable to very high risks. But what citizens need to know is the following:

1. The news that Bill Gates’ children have not been vaccinated has been published for the first time on March 7, 2018.

Some media outlets in our country have recently been searching for news that would stigmatize Bill Gates and his efforts to vaccinate the population to prevent the many diseases that are spreading around the world. Such news is becoming more and more common at a time when the world is facing a pandemic of coronavirus. In the past period, F2N2.mk has been continuously researching this issue.

The news that Bill Gates’ children have not been vaccinated has been published for the first time on February 07, 2018, on the portal yournewswire.com. It is a site that is known for publishing fake news, while the Institute for Media Studies “Poynter” has declared it “one of the most infamous disinformation on the Internet.” On February 22, 2018, Bill Gates’ wife, Melinda Gates, wrote on Instagram that more than 800,000 children had died from rotavirus, a disease that is curable and preventable, at the time of the birth of his first son, Jen. As for the claims that the children of the Gates family have not been vaccinated, Melinda Gates, on April 19, 2019, wrote on the social network Facebook that all three of their children have been vaccinated.

“All three of my children have been completely vaccinated. The vaccine works. And when fewer people decide to accept them, then we all become more vulnerable to diseases”, Melinda Gates wrote.

Bill and Melinda Gates have so far spent billions of dollars researching, developing and delivering vaccines for children around the world. Their goal is to prevent more than 11 million deaths, 3.9 million cases of disability and 264 million diseases by 2020.

Bill Gates is a businessman who has given warnings about possible viruses and has not announced that there will surely be a pandemic. His theory is that the world will not face wars but pandemics, but it is the theory of an educated and informed man, which does not necessarily mean that he knew for sure that a pandemic was coming. “If something kills over 10 million people in the next few decades, it’s likely to be a virus instead of a war. Not missiles, but microbes”, said Bill Gates in March 2015.

But it should be noted that at the time of Bill Gates’ speech, the world had just avoided an Ebola pandemic, so Gates mentioned that after Ebola, here could possibly be other viruses and infections, as history has shown and that’s why authorities in all countries should take preventive measures.

The European Commission also denies any connection between the coronavirus-induced pandemic and the installation of the 5G network. Answering reporters’ questions, the EC spokesman for the digital economy said that “there is no geographical or another link between the deployment of the 5G network and the emergence of the coronavirus”.
