Bloomberg, an international news agency, published an analysis that, citing documents and statements from US intelligence sources, says that China was hiding the exact number of people infected with the coronavirus. These sources do not reveal much because they are classified information, which according to American law must not be spoken publicly. The main point they shared with Bloomberg reporters was that China was publishing false information about the number of patients and the number of deaths as a result of the virus, which by the way began to spread from China around the world.
Bloomberg’s analysis cites several US officials who also share the view that the numbers for the virus in China are unrealistic and far higher, but that China’s ruling Communist Party manages to cover up the real figures, censoring and expelling foreign media, and manipulating public statistics.
Americans do not believe that the place where the virus started has fewer cases than America, Spain or Italy, which are currently at the top of the list of countries according to the number of infected and dead.
Although China is the country of “origin” of the virus, it still has far fewer cases than the United States, although it is much larger in population. The United States has a population of 327.2 million, and China has a population of 1 billion and 386 million, while the number of cases in China is 81,589 and in the United States 215,357. There are 3,318 deaths in China and 5,113 in the United States.
The figures are taken from https://www.worldometers.info/
The Bloomberg article also states that Chinese health officials have a large number of cured or no new cases because they do not record cases that have no symptoms, although the virus does not always cause symptoms.
But there is another side to this story. According to Bloomberg’s analysis and research, there are thousands of urns in the cities where most of the patients have been infected since the beginning of the epidemic, where the ashes of the dead have been placed. (According to Chinese tradition, most of the dead are cremated and their urn is dumped at a certain place). The agency also provided photos on this link of the families of the deceased who are waiting for the urns of their close ones.
Despite all these facts suggesting that China still has a long battle with the virus, the portal Lider published an article in which China presents itself as having completed the battle with the virus with 92% cured, although as Bloomberg analyzes in a row of articles, the real numbers are not being displayed.
According to the abovementioned facts published by Bloomberg, an information agency that also has a representative office in China, this country is in a far more serious situation than what it is trying to show to the world.
