On October 26th, the anonymous portal Newz Update published an article titled: Kalina with a MESSAGE to the Government that railed the public: Health should not be guarded by the police. The content of this title integrally transmits the Facebook post of a certain Kalina Petrovska Makedonska who introduces herself as a former health worker and is ashamed of the profession, because she believes that health workers are accomplices in doing evil against humanity. From an incident that she allegedly witnessed, how several children at the age of seven were playing in a park with masks, and when she asked them what they were afraid of, they answered that they were afraid of COVID-19, and Dr. Filipce instilled that fear in them. She uses this to claim that the epidemic is planned (plandemic) and that we have fallen victim to Satanism. In the end, he concludes that health should not be guarded by the police and that this is supposedly a health military dictatorship.
The anonymous portal Newz Update transmited the Facebook status of an unknown person to the public, Kalina Petrovska Makedonska, who really excited the public, given that her post has reached several Facebook interactions. The question is who is Kalina Petrovska Makedonska, who “deserved” even a title in a portal circulating in our media space, although anonymous, without a prominent imprint and editorial staff or authors of the texts, but with a sufficiently developed network for spreading disinformation. The portal transmits an announcement to a certain unknown person to the public, who expresses their opinion on their Facebook profile.
As a source of information referred to by the portal, we checked the Facebook profile of the person and noticed that Kalina did not stop only at that post. Another post followed, which also recounted an alleged incident, that a 70-year-old woman wearing a N95 mask collapsed, so Kalina concluded that it happened due to lack of oxygen, accusing Minister Filipce, the Commission and the Government in the post that kill people. Whether the two narrated events are true or not, we leave to you to judge for yourself.
Having a political position is completely legitimate, but it is inadmissible to use the political determination to discredit the work of the health system, with a number of conspiracy theories about the connection of the coronavirus with the 5G network, for Satanism in Macedonian healthcare. We are witnessing that the coronavirus pandemic has brought with it a lot of disinformation and conspiracy theories, but the citizens should consciously decide what they will believe, by checking the information and consequently, drawing reasonable conclusions.
Such attempts to tarnish the work of institutions in this period can only harm public health, as they encourage non-compliance with protection measures which are currently the only way to protect ourselves from the coronavirus.
