Thousands of citizens have fallen for the fake prize games that have dawned on social media in recent days. Internet media experts say the aim of these fake fb pages is to gather as many likes as possible and at some point to use them for political propaganda.

“There are many examples of Facebook pages that in the beginning shared humor, satire, fun etc., topics that the citizens find to be interesting. But, in a certain key moment, for example during conducting disinformation campaign, they change the focus and start to share fake news or certain political propaganda. Why the fake competitions? Usually, the topics with which the citizens are manipulated in this way are emotional. In this way, the economic condition is misused, while the psychological moment of getting something for free is present as well” says Aleksoska Rosana from F2N2.
