On the Facebook portal “Mission” a picture of a car with a French flag on it was published. The commentary on the picture reads: Grujo’s Mercedes. The president of the Czech Republic. The flag of France. This disinformation was also transmitted by the portals Infomax and Denesen.

Exposure of the disinformation

On 11.06.2019, the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis arrived on an official visit to our country. The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic in a statement to the media pointed out that he would do everything in his power, the Republic of North Macedonia to start negotiations with the EU as soon as possible and become its member. However, the visit could not pass without certain media trying to throw a black spot on it. Namely, according to certain media, the Prime Minister Zaev’s public relations service made a mistake, so instead of putting a flag from the Czech Republic they put a flag from France. That the flag on the famous car is not French, but is of the Czech Republic, can be seen on the official video that is posted on the web site of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The irony goes so far that the portal Infomax published an article in the same day, related to the same event, but this time in the article a photo was posted, where it can be seen that the flag is of the Czech Republic. Extremely contradictory.

In the end, we feel the need to direct to a good-purpose education act and to show how the flags of France and the Czech Republic look, in order to see the difference.
