FACT/S

The published text is a misinformation that attempts to manipulate the public.

The speculation has been denied by the Bureau for Development of Education. Their statement reads: “The students are introduced with the anthem of the Republic of North Macedonia in the first grade, in the subjects of society education and music education, as well as in the fifth grade, where it is clearly stated in the curriculum of the subject of society education, that the students, through integrated activities of music education and art education, make the symbols and learn the anthem of the Republic of Macedonia (curriculum of May 22, 2008)”.

The complete information can be found at the following link.

The new MES strategy aims to teach elementary school students from sixth through ninth grade the music culture and tradition from the community they belong to. In addition, they will also have the opportunity to study the music culture and tradition of the citizens from the other ethnic communities. This will be accomplished through listening and studying songs and compositions, as well as getting acquainted with the instruments and characteristics of those communities. The purpose of this concept is to promote multiculturalism and to respect diversity.

Journalists should always strive to check the information they publish. By publishing unverified data, they mislead the public, which is contrary to professional journalistic reporting.
