THE ACCUSATIONS FROM THE SERBIAN MINISTER OF DEFENCE VULIN ARE NOT TRUE,

THE PROVOCATIONS ARE NOT NEEDED

Using texts with the same title: “North Macedonia will “attack” Serbia more often”, the Macedonian media have published part of the interview of the Serbian Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin for the Russian media, which was given during his visit to Moscow in the end of April, where he participated in the conference on security.

In his interview Vulin evaluates the security situation in the region and the newly arisen situation with the definite accession of North Macedonia in NATO. The Serbian Minister of Defense states apocalyptic theses in the well-known style of the Serbian politics from the past, where great disasters on the Balkans are predicted should the NATO politics is followed, instead of the politics of Serbia and Russia.

More precisely, Vulin anticipates that with the accession of North Macedonia in NATO, “all Albanians, except for two municipalities in Serbia, will be under political and security umbrella of NATO”. This one, the Serbian Minister of Defense goes on with his analysis, will inevitably lead to an alleged formalization of the Greater Albania aspirations and creation of Greater Albania under the NATO umbrella. This situation, according to Vulin, should bother North Macedonia and Montenegro, on whose territories Albanian population lives, which, according to him, is waiting for the opportunity to be united in NATO. Without stating facts, analogies or examples, Vulin predicts that in the future North Macedonia will attack Serbia more often. He doesn’t say anything about how the attack on Serbia will be conducted (it is anticipated that it will most probably attack the Serbian politics). He finishes the interview with the statement that if the Albanians are being united, then Serbia will be resolving the national issue in Kosovo and will be protecting the Serbs who live there.

THE STATEMENTS FROM BELGREADE FOR A MACEDONIAN SCENARIO

This courting of the politicians from the current establishment in Belgrade to Moscow and attacks on the Macedonian orientation and the definite accession in NATO are not new. There were rumors and the Serbian citizens were threatened with a Macedonian scenario, then the affair with the Serbian intelligence officer recorded in the Parliament of Macedonia during the violence and the storming on 27 April two years ago has happened. Four months later Serbia has withdrawn the diplomats from the embassy in Skopje for consultations in Belgrade, which was an unprecedented move. Allegedly, it was because of the vote of North Macedonia for Kosovo membership in UNESCO.

The period of change of government in the Republic of North Macedonia was followed by other statements form the Serbian establishment, where North Macedonia has been accused that it works against the interests of Serbia by recognizing the Kosovo independence, even threatening that Serbia will cancel the recognition of the country by its constitutional name, because of which it allegedly has worsened the traditionally close relations with Greece.

DELIVERING FAKE NEWS ON FACEBOOK PAGES WITH AN ANTI-WEST CONTENT

These news are also shared on the pages of the social media, well known by its anti-west contents or promotion of a concrete alliance, more often with religious prefix, like “Macedonia and Russia + Orthodox alliance”.  The contents published there are full of incorrect information, fake and made up news directed towards a certain goal, causing hate towards the West and the western values, most frequently against USA, but the Pope and some other well-known persons are also not spared.

FAKE NEWS ON ENDANGERED NORTH MACEDONIA AND GREAT ALBANIA ARE ALSO PRODUCED BY DOMESTIC MEDIA

The domestic media are re-fueling the atmosphere on alleged endangerment North Macedonia and creation of Greater Albania with deliberate creation of contents of this type, very often with persons whose credibility is in question.

One interview of this kind can be watched in the show In the center. The entire interview is full of conspiracy theories and of inconsistencies within the stated claims.

The interview was made with the retired Croatian admiral Davor Domazet – Losho, known by his claims that the former Serbian president Slobodan Miloshevic is still alive, and that his coffin is empty, or that Tito was a Russian agent, or that the arriving of the immigrants in the West is like injecting drugs. The above mentioned claims are enough for everyone to estimate the level of seriousness to which they will consider his theses.
