On 09.09.2019 at 13:37 the portal Leader published an article which is a spin: “Macedonians are not included in the graph of declaration of the nationality when enrolling a faculty.” reads the text which refers to a document that is intended for the national minorities in the country, upon enrollment at the faculty.

The published text is a spin that attempts to manipulate the public. The portal, which first published the news, refers to the document Statement of Nationality. This document is not new. It has been around for years and was intended for the young people from the national minorities who want to pursue their academic education.
For the national minorities there are certain quotas in the faculties in the country in order to provide equal opportunities of education for the national minorities. In the contest announced by the Ministry of Education and Science, one of the conditions for future freshmen, along with other documentation, is the submission of a statement of belonging to a national minority community. This statement is taken into account only where the candidate’s nationality does not indicate in his / her diplomas and diplomas.
Republic of North Macedonia is a multiethnic community. Accordingly, young people from different ethnic or national communities should get a chance for academic education.
