FACT/S

The news is taken for granted from almost all the media, no matter the fact that it was an independent opinion by a professor on the Faculty for security and not a representative of the Ministry of Defence. A number of sensationalistic headlines were created, thus inciting mistrust in the institutions without a single paragraph in the text transmitting the opinion of the relevant ministry, yet, giving the news a preface that “the decision is already made”.

The F2N2 team approached the Ministry with a question and here is the answer:

“We consider that the guarding of the barracks should not be the main responsability of the soldiers from the active format of the Army, whose primary task is development of military skills, presenrving the security and stability of the country and helping the citizens upon their needs. We are considering the option for forming a state ownedd company for security, where the employees would come from the row of the professional soldiers that have turned 45 years of age, thus fulfiling the Ministry’s obligation to keep these personel in a working relation” states the answer from the Ministry.

As explained in the answer, there is a possibility for forming a state owned agency for security in which the soldiers older than 45 years will be enrolled, so they can continue their work. This means that a different type of guarding is possible, but state owned, where the guards will be ex-military, who in accordance with the law will no longer be engaged within the regular/professional army composition.

In accordance with the above, this text is a spin.
