About the study
The study was prepared during 2022 and 2023 within the program “Fighting false news narratives” implemented by the Citizens Association MOST since 2019. Within the study more than 4.000 articles and 10.000 Facebook posts were processed which makes this study first of its kind in North Macedonia, the region and wider.
The articles are analyzed by using the concept of 5Ds through the AMMIT framework.
The Study is grounded into the scientific concepts of Pillars of Russian influence operations, the concept of “sharp power” as well as the concept that is analyzing the volume, variety of channels used, frequency [persistency and repetitiveness] of disinformation and the lack of objectivity.
Also, the study is also grounded on the usage of language and phrases which when reporting about the war are essential feature in combating the propaganda, influence and disinformation.
